EOPYY adjusts Digital Repository implementation timeline
The National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY) has adjusted the implementation timeline for its Digital Repository. Following requests from medical associations, including the Panhellenic Medical Association and the Medical Association of Piraeus, the organization has delayed certain technical requirements to ensure a smoother transition.
Specifically, changes to Master Data services involving LOINC coding updates and the new service for matching examinations with LOINC codes will no longer be mandatory as of September 1. Instead, these specific requirements will become compulsory on November 1, 2026. Other mandatory fields for entering results remain in effect starting September 1.
The Medical Association of Piraeus described this adjustment as a positive step toward allowing doctors and diagnostic laboratories to adapt to the new digital process safely and without risking provider reimbursements. However, the association emphasized that the transition still requires continuous technical support, timely registration, and comprehensive training for all involved parties to ensure technical competence and interoperability.
