EPCOT at Walt Disney World Completes Water Feature Repairs

The fountain in front of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT was observed dry and without water effects for at least 48 hours beginning on July 21, prompting guest reports of a non‑functioning attraction. Disney has not clarified whether the shutdown was for routine maintenance or for routine coin collection, a practice that supports charities such as the Make‑A‑Wish Foundation.

Separately, the World Celebration reflecting pool near the Imagination Pavilion has been refilled after a refurbishment that started in June. The pool now holds clear water, revealing the decorative river‑rock lining beneath and restoring reflections of nearby structures and foliage.

Both water features are now operational, ending a brief period of disruption at the park’s entrance and central promenade.
