EPCOT's Lotus Blossom Café completes phased refurbishment
Walt Disney World Resort has completed a phased summer refurbishment of the Lotus Blossom Café, located within the China Pavilion at EPCOT. The project concluded with the reopening of the café's right-side dining area on August 9.
The primary visible change from the refurbishment is the installation of new flooring. The previous small, dark brown tiles have been replaced with larger, bright beige tiles, matching the updated flooring installed on the left side of the dining area earlier this summer. This change provides a more cohesive aesthetic across both halves of the quick-service location.
While decorative elements such as calligraphy panels, mosaic tiles, and ceiling trim may have been cleaned or refreshed, the fundamental design, including the orange light fixtures, tables, and chairs, remains unchanged. Throughout the construction process, the café remained operational by utilizing supplemental picnic tables and benches located along the China Pavilion walkways.
