Epe Municipality approves new entrance for Cannenburch Castle
The Epe municipal council has approved a new design for the entrance at Cannenburch Castle. The project aims to create a more attractive, green, and accessible reception area that strengthens the connection between the castle, the village of Vaassen, and the surrounding natural areas.
The new entrance will function as a Tourist Transfer Point (TOP), providing a designated parking area where visitors can leave their vehicles to explore the region. The design focuses on improving livability, traffic safety, and providing sufficient parking to prevent congestion in nearby residential areas.
Regarding the local ice rink, the council has decided to delay a final decision. Officials will take more time to consult with the ice rink association and other stakeholders to investigate possibilities, specifically addressing concerns regarding parking and groundwater issues.
