The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced an 8.25% annual interest rate for the financial year 2025‑26. The interest is credited to members’ EPF accounts and becomes visible in the EPF passbook as an entry such as “Interest updated up to 31/03/2026.”

Members can confirm the credit by logging into the EPFO Unified Member Portal or using the UMANG mobile app, navigating to the EPF Passbook section and reviewing the transaction details. EPFO advises regular monitoring of both employee and employer contributions to ensure timely deposits and to detect any discrepancies. If a member suspects an error, they can contact the EPFO help‑line or lodge a complaint through the official grievance portal (EPFiGMS).
