Epic Games announces Springfield Island return to Fortnite

Epic Games confirmed that the Springfield Island map, based on the television series The Simpsons, will be reintroduced to Fortnite as "Springfield Reloaded" on July 30. A full reveal of the update is scheduled for July 29. The map will be adapted for Fortnite's faster Battle Royale "Reload" mode, supporting up to 80 players and featuring iconic locations such as the Simpsons' house, Moe's Tavern, the nuclear power plant and the Duff Blimp battle bus.

The crossover first appeared during a mini‑season in November 2025 and was presented on a smaller scale. Epic also announced the launch of Locker.gg, a platform that lets players track and showcase their Fortnite and other game collections.
