Epic Games Store gives away Foretales free until July 30

The Epic Games Store announced its weekly free‑game promotion, making the narrative card‑driven RPG Foretales available at no cost from Thursday 23 July through Thursday 30 July 2026. Players can claim the title on the store, add it to their library and keep it permanently after the deadline. Foretales follows the thief Volepain as he tries to avert a world‑ending curse, using a deck‑building system for combat, exploration and decision‑making; it features a hand‑painted art style, a soundtrack by Christophe Héral and full narration by Travis Willingham.

After the Foretales offer ends, the store will replace it with two new free titles, OTXO – a top‑down roguelike shooter with an amnesiac protagonist – and Sol Cesto – a procedural dungeon‑crawler where players equip heroes with magical items. Both games will be free from 30 July to 6 August.

The promotion has been reported across several regions, including Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain and the United States, with each locale providing the same claim period and permanent‑library benefit.
