Epic Games Store bug causes storage issues on Android

Users of the Epic Games Store on Android have reported a technical issue where the application consumes excessive storage space. The bug involves the platform failing to delete temporary installation files (APK) after a game has been successfully downloaded or updated.

Under normal circumstances, mobile app stores automatically remove these temporary files once the installation is complete. However, the Epic Games Store is currently retaining these installers in the device's internal storage, which can lead to the loss of several gigabytes of space over time.

To resolve the issue and reclaim storage, users can manually clear the application data. This is done by navigating to the Android Settings, selecting Applications, choosing the Epic Games Store, and selecting the option to clear or delete data within the Storage menu.
