Epic Games Store gives Beacon Pines and We Were Here Together free

The Epic Games Store is running its weekly free‑games promotion from 6 August to 13 August 2026. During this period two titles can be claimed at no cost and will remain in the user’s library permanently: Beacon Pines and We Were Here Together.

Beacon Pines is a narrative adventure set inside a mysterious book. Players control Luka, a young deer, exploring the town of Beacon Pines, collecting charms and using key words to alter the story’s branches. The game has been praised for its atmospheric art and 97 % positive Steam reviews.

We Were Here Together is a cooperative puzzle game for two players. Set on a frozen Antarctic outpost, each player sees different parts of the environment and must communicate via walkie‑talkie to solve asymmetric riddles and escape the castle. It also holds high Steam ratings (around 81 % positive). Both games are free to claim until 13 August 2026 (various local cut‑off times) and will stay in the account thereafter. The next free title, Caravan SandWitch, will be offered from 13 August onward.
