Epic Games Store offers free System Shock 2 and Buried Stars

Epic Games Store is offering two free titles to its users until October 8, 2026. The featured games are the sci-fi horror title ‘System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster’ and the narrative adventure ‘Buried Stars’.

‘System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster’, developed by Nightdive Studios, is a modernized version of the 1999 classic. It combines first-person shooter and RPG elements, featuring updated graphics, improved controls, and cross-play cooperative modes. Players navigate the Von Braun spacecraft while facing mutants and the AI SHODAN.

‘Buried Stars’, developed by LINE Games, is a psychological mystery and survival adventure. Set in the aftermath of a collapsed television studio, players must use dialogue and social media to uncover the truth behind a murder among the trapped contestants.

Following this promotion, the store will transition to offering ‘Out of Sight’ and ‘TerraScape’ from October 8 to October 15.
