Epic Gardening tests suspicious eBay seed listings

A creator from the YouTube channel Epic Gardening conducted an experiment to test the legitimacy of various suspicious seed listings found on eBay. The test included items such as rainbow roses, purple teddy bear sunflowers, giant tomatoes, yardlong beans, and extra-long corn.

The results were mixed. While the waterfall cherry tomatoes and the corn appeared to grow according to their descriptions, other items failed to meet expectations. The rainbow rose seeds never germinated, and the sunflowers did not match the advertised colors, leading the creator to label those specific listings as fraudulent.

Such mislabeled seed packets can result in wasted resources, including water, potting mix, and garden space, potentially impacting a gardener's ability to save money on produce or enjoy the mental health benefits of home gardening.
