Epirotiki Viomichania Emfialoseon announces 16 million euro investment

Epirotiki Viomichania Emfialoseon, the producer of Vikos mineral water, has announced a 16 million euro investment in its Ioannina facilities. The project involves installing a new, fully automated high-speed production line using Krones technology. This line is designed for bottling natural mineral and carbonated water in various glass bottle sizes, with a maximum capacity of 30,000 bottles per hour. This expansion increases the company’s total production capacity by 14% to 248,300 bottles per hour.

The investment emphasizes sustainable development and the circular economy. The new systems utilize energy-efficient inverter technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and resource consumption. A significant focus is placed on the reuse of glass bottles, with a return rate approaching 95%.

Additionally, the company has renewed its partnership with the Stoiximan Greek Basketball League (GBL) for a second consecutive year. As an official sponsor, the company aims to continue its support for Greek professional basketball and its fans.
