Eppelborn firefighters combat field fire and monitor hotspots

Firefighting operations are ongoing in Eppelborn following a significant field and forest fire. Emergency responders have been working for several hours to secure the area and monitor for remaining hotspots to prevent reignition.

The cause of the fire remains unclear. Local volunteer firefighters, supported by neighboring municipalities and local farmers, managed to prevent the blaze from spreading further. The incident follows a period of high demand for local emergency services, which recently responded to a residential house fire in Dirmingen and a large-scale wildfire in the neighboring municipality of Illingen.
