Eppendorf and Haier Biomedical launch new centrifuge technologies

Eppendorf has expanded its laboratory portfolio with the launch of the SpinPro 8 R, a refrigerated, floor-standing high-speed centrifuge. Designed for high-volume workflows in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and academic research, the system offers capacities of up to 6 L and supports 35 different rotors. The device features a 7-inch user interface and utilizes sustainable CO₂-based cooling.

In a separate development, Resonant Clinical Solutions and Haier Biomedical have introduced the LX-60T100R, a hydrocarbon-cooled benchtop centrifuge. Developed to comply with upcoming legislation restricting fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases), the unit uses a natural R290 refrigerant to reduce environmental impact. The centrifuge is designed for clinical trial workflows, offering rapid pre-cooling from room temperature to 4 °C in approximately five minutes and featuring an advanced 7-inch LCD touchscreen.
