EPR Vias do Café tolls rise to R$15.80 for passenger vehicles in South Minas Gerais
Effective Sunday 26 July, the tolls on roads managed by the concessionaire EPR Vias do Café in the southern region of Minas Gerais will increase by 5.3 %. The charge for passenger cars, pickup trucks and vans rises from R$ 15.00 to R$ 15.80. The adjustment, authorised by the state transport regulator Artemig and published in the official gazette, reflects inflation recovery over the past 12 months as required by the concession contract.
EPR Vias do Café oversees 432.8 km of highways across 22 municipalities, including sections of MG‑167, BR‑265, LMG‑863, MGC‑491, BR‑146 and CMG‑369. The company cites an investment of R$ 1.1 billion in the network since the concession began, covering asphalt‑rubber resurfacing, drainage works, LED lighting and other upgrades. A frequent‑user discount (DUF) remains available for vehicles equipped with electronic TAGs, offering progressive reductions that can reach up to 92 % of the toll for regular travelers.
