Epson and STOPware partner for color visitor badge printing

Epson and visitor management provider STOPware have announced a partnership to integrate Epson’s ColorWorks on-demand color label printing technology with the PassagePoint visitor management platform.

The collaboration aims to enhance on-site security through the production of high-resolution, full-color visitor badges. These badges can include visitor photos, color-coded access levels for different visitor types (such as vendors, contractors, or guests), department or zone identifiers, and brand elements to deter counterfeiting. Additionally, the system supports QR codes and barcodes for secure digital check-in and check-out tracking.

By utilizing on-demand color printing, the solution seeks to eliminate the need for pre-printed inventories and reduce operational bottlenecks. The use of color is intended to act as a security multiplier, allowing staff to make instant visual decisions regarding a visitor's authorized location and status.
