eQ-3 introduces six new Homematic IP security cameras

eQ-3's Homematic IP smart‑home system has been expanded with a family of six security cameras covering indoor rooms, outdoor areas and a video doorbell. The models, priced between €79.95 and €229.95, offer AI‑driven motion, person and sound detection, pan‑tilt movement, two‑way audio and, for the outdoor unit, integrated lighting and a battery‑operated option.

All cameras are managed through the free Homematic‑IP app, which now aggregates alarms, live video feeds and device status in a single overview. Recordings can be stored locally on a micro‑SD card or encrypted in the cloud on servers located in Germany, without any registration or subscription fees. eQ‑3 plans free software updates that will add configurable alarm zones, simultaneous multi‑camera views and centralized notification handling.

The cameras are on sale immediately via the online shop, selected DIY stores and authorised Homematic‑IP installers, with colour options of white and anthracite for most models.
