EQT Lab launches researcher grant program for energy innovation in Brazil

EQT Lab, the innovation hub of Grupo Equatorial, opened a free call for researchers to join the Smart Flow project, a program linked to the ANEEL Research, Development and Innovation (PDI) initiative. Applications are accepted until 24 July 2026 and are open to candidates with a completed degree and active enrollment in specialization, master's or doctoral programs who reside in the states where Grupo Equatorial operates (Maranhão, Pará, Piauí, Alagoas, Goiás, Amapá and Rio Grande do Sul).

The call targets researchers in fields such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, control and automation, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, information systems, physics, mathematics and related areas. Four immediate positions and six reserve slots are available. Selected scholars will receive monthly scholarships of up to R$ 5,000, with contracts lasting a minimum of 12 months and a possible extension of six months. The project aims to develop innovative solutions for energy storage and smart grid management, improving power quality and ensuring local supply during contingency situations.
