Equestrian athletes secure victories in Ascona and Zillhofen

In equestrian sports, recent competitions have highlighted both inclusive formats and high-level international show jumping.

The Para-Deux Cup 2026 final took place at the Eberl riding facility in Zillhofen, Germany. This competition features a unique team format where a para-rider and a non-disabled rider compete together, performing the same dressage task to achieve a combined score. Marie-Luise Heigl and Gesine Elmire Gebler secured victory in the event, which emphasizes teamwork and inclusion within the sport.

In Ascona, Austrian show jumper Katharina Rhomberg won the CSI4* Grand Prix riding Colestus Cambridge. Rhomberg secured the win in a jump-off against competitors including Emanuele Gaudiano and Max Kühner. This marked the third Grand Prix victory for the pair this season.
