Equestrian championships held in Kreuth and Aachen

Major equestrian competitions are underway in Germany. In Kreuth, the 36th European Championship of American Quarter Horses is being hosted by the Federation of European Quarter Horse Associations (FEQHA). The event features over 320 horses from 15 nations competing in various disciplines, including Reining, Trail, Western Pleasure, and Ranch Riding.

Simultaneously, the World Equestrian Games have commenced in Aachen. Described as the largest of its kind, the event includes nearly 900 participants from 67 nations and 814 horses. The competition spans six disciplines, beginning with dressage in the main stadium. Notable competitors include eight-time Olympic champion Isabell Werth and eventing gold medalist Michael Jung. The games serve as a critical platform for athletes aiming for qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
