Equestrian tournaments held in Thönse and Eiterfeld
Equestrian events are taking place in Germany, featuring diverse disciplines and community engagement. In Thönse, the RSG Roggen-Hof club is hosting a tournament from August 14 to 16, 2026. The event includes dressage, show jumping, and youth competitions. A unique premiere will feature a ‘jump and lawnmower jumping’ competition, where a rider on horseback and a runner with a small lawnmower work as a team to complete a course.
In Eiterfeld, a tournament focused on Working Equitation was held. This discipline, inspired by traditional European working riding styles, requires horses to navigate obstacles such as bridges, slaloms, and gates. Organized by Diana Bein, the event included beginner classes and featured a custom-built gate obstacle to accommodate the new discipline in the region.
