Equinix launches global liquid cooling innovation centers

Equinix has introduced the Equinix Enhanced Performance Innovation Centers (EPIC), a global network of production-ready liquid cooling environments. These centers are designed to help enterprises test, build, and deploy high-density AI infrastructure.

As AI moves from experimentation to production, the demand for liquid cooling is increasing due to more powerful GPU platforms that drive higher rack densities. The EPIC centers allow companies to trial the latest liquid-cooled GPU and CPU platforms under real-world conditions alongside technology partners and Equinix experts. This process aims to identify operational issues before full-scale production.

Currently, EPIC locations are live in Frankfurt, London, Osaka, Paris, and Sydney, with additional locations expected to open by 2027.
