Equinor ASA executes share buybacks amid institutional shifts

Equinor ASA has conducted a series of share buybacks as part of its third tranche for 2026. Between August 3 and August 7, 2026, the company repurchased 729,372 shares at an average price of NOK 376.1263 per share. Following these transactions, Equinor ASA holds a total of 15,865,147 treasury shares, representing 0.66% of its share capital.

In separate institutional trading activity, Handelsbanken Fonder AB reduced its position in East West Bancorp, Inc. by 24.7% during the second quarter, selling 73,420 shares. Meanwhile, Wasatch Advisors LP trimmed its holding in Euronet Worldwide, Inc. by 11.3% during the same period, leaving the firm with 459,922 shares.
