Spain bullfighting events and local festivities continue across various regions
Various bullfighting events and local festivities are taking place across Spain. In Cuenca, Daniel Moset celebrated a successful debut with picadores at the San Julián Fair, earning a triumphant exit through the ‘Puerta Grande’.
In Medina del Campo, preparations for the San Antolín festivities have begun with ox runs to test new safety measures and enclosures near the AVE tunnel. Meanwhile, in Toro, the traditional ‘Fuente de Vino’ event featured six bulls and a central wine vat, maintaining local customs despite weather concerns.
Other scheduled events include a practical class bullfight in Utrera on September 19, 2026, and the VI José María Manzanares contest in Alicante on September 5-6, which will feature twelve rising talents. In Tarifa, a bullfight with Lagunajanda livestock is set for August 30, featuring Manuel Escribano, David Galán, and Daniel Crespo. Additionally, L’Alcora will begin its Cristo festivities with an ox run on August 29, and El Escorial is preparing for the Romería de la Virgen de la Herrería on September 6.
