Equip Outdoor Technologies to sell Lowe Alpine rights to ATG Brands

Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd., the owner of the British outdoor brand Rab, has agreed to sell the intellectual property of Lowe Alpine to China-based ATG Brands & Data Limited (ATG). The transaction, which is expected to close within the next few weeks, will grant ATG exclusive rights to the Lowe Alpine trademark, logo, and associated brand assets.

Equip stated that the sale is a strategic move to allow the company to focus its investment and product development efforts on the growth of Rab. Because Lowe Alpine no longer maintains dedicated stock, employees, or premises within Equip, the sale pertains strictly to intellectual property and will have no impact on Equip’s current operations or staff.

Equip acquired Lowe Alpine in 2011. Over the following decade, the brand contributed to Equip’s growth in the outdoor market. Following the global pandemic, Equip had already integrated Lowe Alpine’s logistics and design infrastructure into its broader corporate ecosystem and the Rab brand.
