Equirando schedules 2027 European equestrian gathering in Forcalquier, France
The French national equestrian tourism committee announced that the 2027 edition of Equirando, Europe’s largest gathering of horse‑riding travelers, will take place in Forcalquier, Alpes‑de‑Haute‑Provence from 9–11 July. The three‑day event will feature exhibitions, demonstrations, a town parade and showcases of regional culture and craftsmanship. Valérie Dalodier, president of the Comité national de tourisme équestre, highlighted the venue’s natural landscapes and Provençal heritage as ideal for the celebration of horse‑based travel.
The announcement follows the successful 55th edition held in July 2025 at Bagnoles‑de‑l’Orne in Normandy, which attracted about 850 participants and was later commemorated in an after‑movie released by the organizers. The 2025 event featured a range of activities, including a gala evening, animal‑friendly trekking routes and community engagements.
Equirando’s move to the south of France underscores its rotating location model, aiming to promote diverse regional tourism while fostering a growing European equestrian network.
