Erandio cannabis association under investigation for drug trafficking

Authorities in Erandio, Spain, have launched an investigation into the managers of a cannabis association following allegations of illegal drug trafficking. The operation was conducted by the Ertzaintza in collaboration with the Erandio Local Police.

The investigation began earlier this year after police observed unusual activity at the premises, noting a constant flow of individuals entering and leaving quickly, allegedly to purchase narcotics for consumption outside the facility. During a recent operation, officers identified several customers leaving the site in possession of marijuana.

A subsequent search of the premises led to the seizure of approximately 3 kilograms of marijuana and a quantity of hashish. Police also recovered weighing scales, packaging materials for small-scale distribution, and over 800 euros in small denominations. Two men, aged 46 and 53, have been placed under investigation for alleged crimes against public health.
