Erasmo Iacovone Stadium considered for major women's football matches

The Erasmo Iacovone Stadium in Taranto is being considered as a potential venue for two major women's football matches. Officials from the FIGC and the Serie A Women's Division recently conducted an inspection of the facility to evaluate its suitability and identify any necessary improvements.

The first potential event is the return leg of the 2027 World Cup qualification playoffs between Italy and Finland, scheduled for December 5. The second possibility is the Italian Women's Super Cup, featuring Juventus and Roma, which is planned for January.
