Erasmus+ programs drive international mobility for Turkish students and staff

Educational institutions in Turkey are successfully utilizing Erasmus+ funding to enhance international mobility for students and staff.

Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) has completed its 2024 KA131 Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility Project, fully utilizing its budget of 385,540 euros. Coordinated by the AKÜ International Relations Application and Research Center, the project facilitated 146 total mobilities between June 2024 and July 2026. This included 113 student learning mobilities, 19 student internships, 10 staff training mobilities, and 4 staff teaching mobilities.

In Kayseri, vocational students are also benefiting from the Erasmus+ Vocational Education Accreditation. This year, 25 students completed internships in various German cities, including Cologne, Frankfurt, Konstanz, Stuttgart, and Munich, for durations ranging from 21 to 90 days. These internships covered fields such as information technology, electrical-electronics, accommodation, metal, and food and beverage services. The project, supported by 186,670 euros in grants, aims to reach 33 students, with further long-term internships scheduled through early 2027.
