Erasmus+ programs facilitate educational exchange in Ireland and Greece
Participants from Greek educational institutions have engaged in various activities under the Erasmus+ program, focusing on professional development and cultural exchange.
A teacher from the Model General Lyceum of Heraklion attended a seminar in Dublin, Ireland, titled ‘Mental Health Awareness for Teachers and Students’. Organized by the Europass Teacher Academy, the training focused on anxiety management, mindfulness, and supporting the mental well-being of both educators and students. The mobility also included cultural visits to Trinity College and Kilmainham Gaol.
Separately, students and teachers from the 12th General Lyceum of Larissa, alongside participants from schools in Austria and Poland, conducted an educational visit to Meteora and Trikala, Greece. The group visited the Varlaam Monastery to learn about Orthodox monasticism and visited the ‘Terra Immersia’ center in Kalabaka to study the region's geological formations and history. The visit aimed to foster communication and knowledge sharing among the international participants.
