Erasmus+ projects drive STEM and sustainability initiatives in Latin America

Educational institutions in Latin America are participating in international cooperation initiatives funded by the Erasmus+ program to enhance STEM education and sustainable development goals.

In Argentina, students specializing in Economics and Administration participated in a session focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through the ELA4ATTRACT project. This initiative, a collaboration between European and Latin American institutions, utilized digital tools and Living Labs to encourage vocational interest in science and technology, with a specific emphasis on supporting women and girls in these fields.

In Colombia, a delegation from Costa Rica’s Universidad Técnica Nacional (UTN) attended the closing conference of the Erasmus+ ACT4SDGs project at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín. The event facilitated the exchange of experiences between universities from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica. The project focused on integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into academic curricula and promoting student mobility to consolidate sustainability within higher education.
