Erasmus+ youth exchange focuses on environment in Sicily

The Erasmus+ youth exchange project ‘Time is Running Out’, coordinated by EUducation Italy, recently took place at the Yachting Club Mare in San Giorgio di Gioiosa Marea, Sicily. The initiative brought together 30 young participants from Italy, Spain, Albania, Serbia, and Hungary to address pressing environmental challenges facing Europe.

Through workshops, group work, and non-formal education, the participants explored topics including climate change, responsible resource consumption, pollution, and biodiversity loss. The program aimed to foster intercultural dialogue, allowing youth to share national perspectives and develop concrete ideas for environmental protection. Additionally, the exchange focused on building personal and social skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, and project design to encourage more active and responsible environmental engagement.
