Erba athletic track damaged by construction work

The athletic track at the Lambrone sports center in Erba has sustained significant damage due to ongoing construction work. The damage occurred during the installation of lighting systems intended for television broadcasts of Como 1907 women's championship matches, as heavy machinery compromised the already worn track surface.

Gianluca Martina, president of Unione sportiva San Maurizio, has called for an immediate restoration of the track to ensure athletes can continue training. While acknowledging the municipal administration's transparency and the progress made in securing renovation funds, the club is urging for rapid operational execution to prevent further disruption to local sports training and youth development.
