Erba citizens petition against removal of linden trees

In Erba, a citizens' committee has formally requested the suspension of a municipal project aimed at upgrading pedestrian areas in Via San Rocco and Via Turati. The current plan involves the removal and replacement of existing linden trees to facilitate sidewalk safety improvements.

The committee submitted a formal request to the Mayor and technical offices, proposing that alternative solutions be explored to secure pedestrian paths without sacrificing the local tree canopy. They emphasized the environmental and climatic value of the existing trees. To date, an online petition supporting this cause has gathered 1,866 verified signatures.
