ERC and EH Bildu strengthen joint independence strategy

ERC and EH Bildu met in Bilbao to strengthen their joint strategy regarding independence and to counter the rise of the far right. The meeting included high-level delegations, with Oriol Junqueras representing ERC and Arnaldo Otegi representing EH Bildu.

Both parties expressed support for the strategies used by independence movements in Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, which advocate for the right to self-determination through referendums. The groups emphasized the need for cooperation among democratic forces to oppose what they described as the 'authoritarian and retrograde wave of the far right.'
