Erdoğan addresses Balıkesir AK Party women via telephone
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a surprise telephone conversation with AK Party members during a Women's Meeting in Balıkesir. The event was organized by AK Party Women's Branch President Tuğba Işık Ercan at the Salih Tozan Cultural and Art Center.
During the call, Erdoğan expressed his respect to the women of Balıkesir and called for a transformation within the local party organization, including the Women's and Youth branches. He emphasized that the Balıkesir branch needs to reclaim its responsibilities. Erdoğan also led a moment of remembrance for the late Azize Sibel Gönül, a former AK Party Kocaeli MP and Women's Branch Chair.
Tuğba Işık Ercan highlighted the party's long-term achievements over the last 25 years and discussed the challenges facing Turkey within a volatile regional environment. Following the meeting, Ercan visited the AK Party Balıkesir Provincial Presidency to meet with local officials and discuss organizational activities.
