Erdoğan condemns humanitarian crisis in Gaza
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has condemned the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, describing the enclave as the ‘largest concentration camp in the world.’ Speaking at the International Summit for Justice in Istanbul, Erdoğan criticized the ongoing military actions and the destruction of civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, universities, schools, and religious sites.
Erdoğan stated that over 74,000 Gazans, primarily women and children, have been killed over the past three years. He also noted that since a ceasefire mediated by Turkey took effect on October 11, 2025, approximately 1,500 Palestinians have been killed and more than 5,000 wounded in attacks he claims have violated the agreement.
Additionally, the Turkish President addressed the situation in the West Bank, citing illegal settlements and violence. He also raised concerns regarding attempts to alter the historical and legal status of holy sites in Jerusalem. Erdoğan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to supporting Palestinian rights on the international stage.
