Erdoğan identifies US as key LNG supplier and emphasizes Turkey's energy corridor role

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has identified the United States as a primary supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for Turkey. During meetings with US business representatives in New York, Erdoğan emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in energy sectors, including nuclear energy.

Erdoğan highlighted Turkey's role as a reliable energy corridor, citing the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) as critical infrastructure for the continuous transit of resources. He noted that Turkey is positioned as a leading country in Europe favoring American gas and suggested the need for a new economic cooperation model focused on rebuilding supply chains and energy routes.
