Erdogan accuses Israel of sabotaging Islamabad MoU

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Israel of sabotaging regional peace efforts and derailing the 14-point Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, signed between Iran and the United States in June, was intended to ease military tensions and provide regional relief.

Erdogan stated that Israeli “schemes and provocations” have sparked the current Middle East conflict, causing the global economy and neighboring nations to pay the price. He warned that regional stability is unattainable as long as a “radical mentality” persists that views peace prospects as a threat. Additionally, Erdogan issued a warning against subversive activities aimed at destabilizing Turkey, asserting that Ankara will not remain passive against conspiracies.

In response to the escalating tensions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Iranian government is struggling for survival and that Israel remains determined to defend itself and strike its enemies.
