Eremo San Salvatore to host 2026 festival honoring Giuseppe Lazzati

The Eremo San Salvatore will host the 2026 edition of the Festa dell’Eremo on Saturday, September 5, under the theme “Musica nel bosco” (Music in the woods). The event is part of the patronal festival of Erba.

The 2026 celebration holds special significance as it marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Giuseppe Lazzati, who passed away on May 18, 1986. Lazzati, a prominent religious and civil figure, was a member of the Constituent Assembly and served as the Rector of the Università Cattolica di Milano. He was also responsible for the restoration and refoundation of the Eremo San Salvatore in the early 1950s through the Istituto Secolare Cristo Re.

The program will include a presentation by Giovanni Zilioli, a friend of Lazzati and an author, who will discuss the life of the deceased figure.
