Eren Akkurt wins world karate championship in Brazil

Eren Akkurt, a 25-year-old karateka from Gaziantep, has become the world champion at the FISU World Karate Championship held in Brazil.

Coming from a family of martial artists, Akkurt was inspired by his father, a karate instructor, and his mother and sisters, who are also practitioners. Following his marriage approximately one year ago, he continued his rigorous training at the Talat Özkarslı Sports Hall, frequently training alongside his wife to maintain his form and prepare for international competition. Akkurt credited his wife's support and their joint training sessions as key factors in his recent success.
