Eren Dinkci expresses desire to stay at Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen striker Eren Dinkci has expressed his desire to remain with the club permanently, despite currently being on loan from SC Freiburg. The Bremen native stated that playing at the Weserstadion is a “huge honor” and that he feels most comfortable in his hometown.

While Dinkci’s contract with Freiburg runs until 2028, he noted that a permanent move would require negotiations with his parent club. His current loan agreement does not include a purchase option for the upcoming summer.

During a media briefing, Dinkci also spoke candidly about the personal challenges he is facing. His partner is currently battling leukemia, and he explained that returning to Bremen has provided essential emotional support from family and friends. He noted that while the situation occasionally affects his focus during training, football provides a necessary distraction when he is on the pitch.
