Eren Kaşıkçı death attributed to heart attack
A preliminary autopsy report from the Forensic Medicine Institute indicates that Eren Kaşıkçı, the 2021 champion of MasterChef Türkiye, died of a heart attack. The 37-year-old chef was found deceased in his home in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul on July 29.
According to the initial findings, Kaşıkçı had no known chronic illnesses or significant health issues. Experts estimate that he passed away approximately 14 to 15 hours before his body was discovered by his business partner, Mikail Malkoçoğlu.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the sudden death. While the preliminary report points to a heart attack, a final official report from the Forensic Medicine Institute is expected to conclude the investigation.
