Ergon expands mountain bike grip range with GMA and GMA FAT models

German component specialist Ergon has expanded its mountain bike grip lineup with the introduction of the GMA and GMA FAT models, which are set to replace the GA2 as the brand’s versatile all-mountain option.

The new grips utilize Ergon’s proprietary Gravity Control Rubber Compound, designed to provide a balance of cushioning and secure hold in wet or muddy conditions. The GMA features a tapered cylindrical shape with a new thumb saddle and underside ridge textures to improve hand positioning. For riders seeking more cushioning or those with larger hands, the GMA FAT offers a diameter that is 2mm larger than the standard model.

Technical features include CNC-machined aluminum clamps with laser-etched indices to allow for precise rotational alignment. The products are REACH-compliant and have been tested by SGS Institut Fresenius to be free of harmful substances, including latex and PAH. The GMA series is available in various colors, including Black, Chili Red, Juicy Orange, Sage Green, Slay Grey, Nightride Blue, Lunar Lilac, and Gold Rush.
