Erhan Arıklı criticizes Prime Minister Ünal Üstel over bureaucrat dismissals

Erhan Arıklı, leader of the Yeniden Doğuş Partisi (YDP), has criticized Prime Minister Ünal Üstel regarding the dismissal of several bureaucrats who worked on infrastructure projects during the Ministry of Transport period.

Arıklı specifically highlighted the removal of the Highways Director, noting that these officials were instrumental in planning and constructing various roads, including the North Bypass Road, Fota Road, and the Girne-Alsancak-Lapta road. He also mentioned ongoing projects such as the Girne-Çatalköy and İskele-Boğaz roads.

Arıklı accused the administration of attempting to claim credit for these completed works by removing the team responsible for them. He stated, “You cannot claim our achievements by cleaning out my team,” and argued that while bureaucrats can be dismissed, the physical infrastructure and services provided to the public remain as evidence of their work.
