Eric Alain Mantot begins mandate as FECOFOOT president

Eric Alain Mantot has officially assumed leadership of the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFOOT). Following a period of institutional turbulence, Mantot has prioritized several key objectives to revitalize the sport in the country.

His immediate agenda includes launching a full financial audit to ensure transparency, relaunching regular national championships, and modernizing sports infrastructure. Additionally, he aims to restructure youth training programs and promote women's football.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has offered official congratulations and pledged international support to assist Congo during this transition. Mantot emphasized that his election is a “moral contract” rather than a “blank check,” signaling a commitment to delivering visible results to supporters and stakeholders.
