Eric Bellinger releases new self-titled R&B album

Singer Eric Bellinger has released a new self-titled album, marking a shift toward a more personal and vocally expansive R&B sound. Influenced by artists such as Victoria Monét and PJ Morton, Bellinger has moved away from strictly commercial, radio-ready tracks to embrace complex harmonies, runs, and bridges.

The project is deeply rooted in personal experiences, including the grief following the loss of his mother and his travels to Africa, which inspired an interest in Afrobeat sounds. Bellinger noted that his move to a major label provided the creative freedom necessary to explore these themes of self-healing and past relationships, including the track ‘Closure’.
