Eric Bischoff attributes WWE Netflix replay edits to international regulations
Eric Bischoff suggests that recent edits made to WWE replays on Netflix are likely driven by business considerations and international regulatory requirements rather than creative choices.
Observers noted several discrepancies between live broadcasts and Netflix replays. During a September 14 episode of Raw in Mexico City, obscene hand gestures from fans toward Roman Reigns were visible during the live feed but were obscured by a high overhead camera angle in the Netflix version. Other edits include the removal of blood from an August 31 segment involving The Usos and the alteration of crowd audio during segments featuring Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.
Bischoff noted that while he lacks inside information, the varying standards for violence, nudity, and other content across different global markets provide a logical explanation for the censorship. He suggested that WWE may be adjusting content to maintain regulatory standards in specific territories.
