Eric Bischoff has expressed mixed views regarding WWE performer Roman Reigns, noting a lack of character evolution despite the performer's undeniable star presence. Speaking on the ‘83 Weeks’ podcast, Bischoff stated that while he respects Reigns' success, he finds the current character act “boring” because it lacks development. He compared the situation to the later stages of Hulk Hogan’s career, suggesting that the character is currently in a state of “maintenance” that is financially successful but creatively stagnant.

However, Bischoff also emphasized that Reigns possesses a unique “aura” and natural charisma that distinguishes him from other performers in both WWE and AEW. He argued that Reigns has an unmistakable star quality that is evident to an audience even without knowing his backstory or accomplishments. Bischoff suggested that Reigns' ability to make an impression simply by walking through a curtain is a rare trait, potentially aided by avoiding overexposure.
