Eric Bischoff critiques WWE character decisions and streak endings
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has shared his perspectives on significant character developments and historical moments within professional wrestling.
Regarding the end of The Undertaker’s WrestleMania undefeated streak, Bischoff expressed disappointment, stating he would have preferred to leave the streak intact. He argued that breaking the streak was a “golden opportunity to create a Babe Ruth” type of character that lives forever, and suggested that Brock Lesnar did not need the win to increase his popularity, as he was already highly established.
Bischoff also commented on Paul Heyman’s role in elevating Roman Reigns. He credited Heyman with teaching Reigns a form of method acting that allowed him to transcend standard wrestling personas. However, Bischoff noted that Heyman’s public revelation of these character-building techniques may have been detrimental by stripping away some of the mystery surrounding Reigns’ character.
